My Approach

Specializations
Children
I've been working with children and families for 20 years. I have completed the extensive training and supervision to become a Registered Play Therapist™, which means I speak a child's first language: Play! I specialize in treating Trauma, Anxiety, Depression and Suicidal Ideation. I also have experience and training with adoption, highly sensitive kids, and those affected by divorce.
Adolescents
Physical, emotional, academic and social stress can be overwhelming for teens! I specialize in treating adolescents with Anxiety, Depression, Learning Disorders, Social Problems, Self-Harm and Suicidal Ideation/Attempts, School Difficulties, and LGBTQ concerns.
Trauma
When a person experiences trauma, their bodies and brains are changed. The world looks and feels different -- because it is. Somatic Therapies like Brainspotting and Somatic Experiencing work with the body's limbic and central nervous system to help find , process, and release the nuerophysiological sources of pain. Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and Depression are the most common mental health complaints, and the most treatable! Many people experience considerable symptom relief with professional care. I use body based therapies and elements of cognitive behavioral therapy along with compassion and empathy to provide a supportive environment for growth.
Family Conflict
Christian Counseling
When our primary relationships are strained by conflict, miscommunication, or external stressors, it can take a toll on our mental health and well-being. I specialize in helping families to overcome adversity and establish strong, secure attachment.
Faith-based therapy combines spiritual wisdom with psychological theories and practices. Spiritual health is an important aspect of well-being, and I am happy to integrate your beliefs and practices to support your healing.
